The Wait is a short film we produced in 2017 and is now in the rounds of film festivals. It already played at the KaPow Intergalactic Film Festival in North Hollywood (https://www.kapowiff.com/) and will be playing at the Pasadena Film Festival (https://www.pasadenafilmfestival.org/) this spring!
Bryan Ricke’s Director of Photography Reel:
As filmmakers, we constantly trade favors with fellow creative folks in the industry. As such, we recently had the chance to work on two short films. On the first, Heartless, directed by Kevin Sluder, Melissa served as the 1st AD, Bryan helped out as a grip. Heartless is loosely based on The Tell Tale Heart, but is based in a modern corporate setting. It promises to be an exciting – and gory – short horror film and we can’t wait to celebrate its release.
We also had the chance to help out some of our long-time friends with a secret project that is under government restrictions – we’re not allowed to talk about it or even acknowledge its existence. But if it does exist, than Melissa helped out as an assistant producer and Bryan was also able to help as a grip.
We’ve just started production on our 2nd feature film, Sound of Settling in late July. We have a great cast and crew together and can’t wait to jump in and bring this script to the screen!
The story follows Abby and her long-term boyfriend, Kyle who live in Los Angeles in the near future. Their relationship has started to die out when she downloads a data gathering smartphone app which predicts that her relationship is about to end. Abby must decide if she will let technology dictate her love life or fight to keep her relationship alive – even if the odds are against her.
This beautiful 4-bedroom home features a large, luxurious master bedroom suite and has recently been remodeled. It comes complete with all new top-of-the-line appliances, beautiful pool, stunning views of the city, and even a historic past – having once been owned by none other than John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Imagine that!
Bryan was brought on to serve as cinematographer for this great new web series, Adventures in Online Dating, by writer/producer Veronika Wyile, and under the direction of Adrienne White. The show went into production in January, 2017 and is currently in post production. We’ll share more as it becomes available. You can read more about it here:
